Tres Leches Privacy Policy

Tres Leches teaches Spanish through short lessons. We collect as little as we can, and we never sell your data.

What we collect

Your first name, if you type it in or share it through Sign in with Apple. The characters use it in conversations.
Your account. If you choose to create a free account, we use Sign in with Apple. We receive a private identifier for your account from Apple, and your email address if you choose to share it. Apple may give us a private relay address instead of your real one.
Your email address, if you share it. We may send you occasional emails about Tres Leches, such as new lessons and updates. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to stop at info@shorelineanimation.com.
Your progress, so it can be backed up and follow you to a new phone: slices, cakes, streak, badges, lessons completed, words you missed, and your settings.
Basic server logs (date, time, IP address and device type of requests), used to keep the service secure and working.

What stays on your phone

Your voice. When you tap the microphone, speech is turned into text by Apple's speech recognition, on your device wherever your iPhone supports it. We never receive or store your audio.
Chat with the characters. Free chat runs on Apple's on-device model. Your messages do not leave your phone.
Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your phone.

Ads and tracking

Tres Leches has no ads and no third-party trackers. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Sharing

We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. Our servers are hosted with DigitalOcean in the United States, and data is sent over HTTPS. We share information only with providers that run the service for us, or when the law requires it.

Keeping and deleting your data

Account progress is kept until you delete your account. To delete it, open Mi cocina in the app and choose Delete account. This removes your account and the progress we store. You can also email info@shorelineanimation.com. Progress stored on your phone is removed when you delete the app. Server logs are kept for a limited time for security and troubleshooting.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the data we hold about you by emailing us. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, and we honor them for everyone.

Children

Tres Leches is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.

Feedback

If you email us, we receive your address and message, and use them to reply and improve the app.
